IOHK’s announcement stated, “Dynamic P2P networking is an important evolution for Cardano and a further boost to the network's performance, resilience, and decentralization.”
The Cardano (ADA) blockchain deployed node version 1.35.6 on the mainnet to enable Dynamic Peer-To-Peer (P2P) networking.

The landmark P2P networking upgrade will reduce communication delays while increasing the network resilience of the Cardano ecosystem.
At present, the Cardano blockchain uses two node configurations: block-producing nodes and relay nodes. Stake Pool Operators (SPOs) use block-producing nodes to receive block information as input and propagate new blocks as output. The update will allow bidirectional usage of the input and output connections, thus simplifying the connection process.
Meanwhile, relay nodes are responsible for broadcasting these blocks to prevent block producers from being exposed to hacking attacks. The implementation of dynamic P2P networking will allow SPOs relays to establish automatic connections via self-discovery. This will remove the need for manual maintenance of the SPO’s setup.

IOHK's blog post added,
“Dynamic P2P enables enhanced communication between distributed nodes and simplifies the process of running a relay or a block-producing node. This eliminates the need for static configurations and manual stake pool operators’ (SPO) input.”
To enable dynamic P2P networking, SPOs will need to set the “EnableP2P” option as “True” in the configuration file.
The Cardano Foundation (CF) and Input Output Global (IOG) will test the upgrade over the coming weeks to fix any issues with the new P2P networking feature.
The price of the ADA token surged following the release of the upgrade. As of writing, ADA is valued at $0.34, up by 4.2% in the last 24 hours.
