16 of Celsius’ legal consultancy firms have filed motions with the Bankruptcy Court in New York to receive $52.8M from the bankrupt crypto lender.
The court filings, dated December 15, claimed that the firms rendered their services in Celsius’ bankruptcy proceedings from July through October.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP, the law firm that aided Voyager Digital's restructuring process, requested Celsius to pay $20.1M, with K&E adding that its attorneys have expended 19,105 hours into Celsius’ bankruptcy case.
Similarly, White & Case LLP, the firm hired by Celsius’ Committee of Unsecured Creditors, has sought $10.2M from the bankrupt crypto lender.

Jenner & Block’s Shoba Pillay has also filed a motion with the Court seeking compensation for her investigations into Celsius’ operations. In her court filing, the external examiner requested $1.86M for her services.
Meanwhile, the Court ordered Celsius to return $50M to certain customers. The bankrupt lender currently aims to claw back $7.7M from Voyager.
